Service Governance plays an important role in providing unified IT services across campus. These advisory groups regularly provide input on improvement priorities, service level expectations, and adoption levels. They are charged to provide a strong customer voice that guides the delivery of specific shared services. These currently include:
- Collaboration Services Advisory Group consists of IT and privacy/compliance leaders from administrative units, schools and colleges. The group regularly solicits input from the U-M Collaboration Forum, a public discussion group where individuals ask questions, exchange information, and showcase interesting uses of collaboration tools including U-M Google, U-M Box, and CTools.
- MiWorkspace Advisory Group consists of faculty members and IT leaders from schools and colleges and administrative units. The group meets several times a year to guide decision-making and otherwise serve as a representative group of the MiWorkspace constituency.
