Digital Asset Collaborative (DAC)

Link to presentation poster

Digital Asset Collaborative (DAC) is an enterprise digital asset management (DAM) solution that provides a centralized location for sharing assets for marketing and communication use within the University of Michigan. Assets include finished videos photos, templates, and graphics. DAC is available for users from Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses, allowing for collaboration university-wide and driving collective goals forward.

This centralized approach reduces redundancy, saves resources, and ensures that high-quality, approved assets are readily available to all users. An example of use would be Center of Global Health Equity using b-roll footage in a video, so they would not need to hire a contractor to capture what has already been captured and is available to them already.

DAC addresses work-related challenges through a variety of innovative approaches. By cultivating a community of practice around digital asset management, we empower our users with the knowledge and tools needed to maintain high standards, collaborate, and support each other so our community can harness their full potential with Digital Asset Collaborative.

Regardless of funding, any U-M unit may be onboarded and have access to DAC assets for university purposes.
