Campus Units are required by SPG 201.27 to create "annually reviewed unit Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) and identify critical services and critical employees." IT Administrators of mission-critical systems are similarly required by Data Standard 12 to "have a disaster recovery (DR) plan that documents the critical recovery functions and tasks that can be executed to enable mission-critical system recovery following a significant event or disaster." Engaging in this work is challenging and time-consuming. Failure to create and maintain COOP and IT DR plans could result in significant disruption to the mission of the University. Attend this session to learn about the resources available to accomplish this work from DPSS Emergency Management and ITS Information Assurance (IA) Disaster Recovery Planning.
