Recreating the Diag for Social Virtual Reality (video)

Breakout Sessions: December 15, 3:15–4 p.m.

This presentation explores the creation of the Diag in 3D. We explore a project from the XR Initiative where students recreated the Diag in 3D for social interactions. You will learn about concepts like 3D modeling and texturing to generate a digital twin of campus. Colleagues from the AEC and facilities worked together to support students in this work. Participants in the original presentation had the chance to visit the virtual diag in Virtual Reality or from the computers. Watch and explore what is next with the North Campus Grove, the Law Library, and how we will take an open source approach to building out the entire campus.
