2022 Hybrid Hacks with Friends Event
The 2022 Hacks with Friends (HWF) took place as a hybrid event June 2 and 3, 2022 at Arbor Lakes. Our 2021 HWF event was one of the last events to take place in person prior to the pandemic so holding the 2022 event with an in person option was significant.
Fourteen teams collaborated in a hybrid format to create hacks for the competition. A public vote following a livestreamed presentation of the completed hacks narrowed the field to the top four teams who went on to face our 2022 judges in the finals. Each team presented their hack in a 10-minute presentation. Judges awarded the first, second, and third place team. The 2022 People’s Choice award went to the team with the most votes from the public voting earlier in the day. And the winners are:
The 2022 Hacks with Friends Judges Awards
- 1st place - Pitch 16: Enhancing Student Success through Early Warning Alerts
- 2nd place - Pitch 15: Ready, Set, Tech
- 3rd place - Pitch 5: Why Am I Sad? A Data Driven Analysis Framework
- 4th place - Pitch 4: Analysis of Unutilized Scholarship Funds
The 2022 Hacks with Friends People’s Choice Award
