2022 Hacks with Friends

Hacks with Friends 2022 - June 2-3, 2022

Hacks with Friends is coming… and it’s hybrid!

Arbor Lakes Office Complex, University of Michigan

Register today! The 2022 Hacks with Friends (HWF) will take place as a hybrid event June 2 – 3 at Arbor Lakes. Participants are welcomed to join either in person or virtually. The 2022 HWF planning committee is led once again by co-chairs Joe Lubomirski, UM-Dearborn ITS, and Kenny Moore, UM-Ann Arbor ITS. Hacks 2020 was one of the last events some of us attended in person prior to the pandemic. This year we welcome participants back to campus in the traditional two-day format and accommodate the needs of other attendees who prefer to participate virtually. We are excited to bring HWF back in this way.

Work rooms with displays and supplies will be assigned to each team with the option to work outside, weather permitting. Outdoor WiFi access points will be set up for coverage in the event tent on the front lawn of building 3 and on the patio behind the Dome.

2022 Hacks with Friends Schedule Overview (detailed schedule below)

  • Thursday, June 2: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Friday, June 3: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Review the 2022 Pitches

Review the 16 pitch proposals for hacks submitted by colleagues around the Michigan IT community and see which one sparks your interest. You will select a pitch team to join when you register to attend HWF. If you aren’t sure which hack team to join, come to the HWF Pitch Team Virtual Open House, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from Noon – 1:30 p.m. via Zoom, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about each idea.
