Dear faculty, staff and students,

Last week I shared with you my excitement that U‑M Slack would be available to all faculty, staff, and students on all campuses and in Michigan Medicine this week. Today I would like to invite you to join U‑M Slack and learn more about how you can use it to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, classmates, and teams.

Once you join, you will have access to various features, such as the ability to send a direct message to anyone with a U‑M Slack account, create private channels, invite other U‑M Slack users to join your private channel, and invite single‑channel guests to your private channel. Expect to see more features before the start of fall classes, like the ability to create private and Canvas course workspaces. Visit the U-M Slack website for details on how to create an account, use the tool, and find answers to frequently asked questions.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve all of you and I hope you will enjoy using U‑M Slack. Please continue to let me know your thoughts about Slack or any of the other outstanding tools and services we offer. Please reach out to me at [email protected] if I can assist in any way or add value. You can also reach out to our outstanding ITS Service Center for assistance as you use and explore the service. Have an awesome day.

Best regards,

Ravi
